Other Fields of Practice: The Resettlement Intern will assist case management staff in providing reception and placement services to newly arrived refugees as they adjust to their new lives in the US. They will play a key role in helping refugee families access needed benefits and services within their first to 90 days in the United States. The intern will also perform a series of clerical and administrative duties to ensure client files are kept up to date.
Major Functions: Administration, After Care/Follow Up, Assessment, Case Management, Home Visits, Information/referral, Intake
Other Functions:
Tasks/Assignments for intern: Interns will assist with delivering services to clients, such as scheduling and accompanying clients to appointments and enrolling clients in public benefits. Interns are expected to assist staff in the sorting and filing of documents and case files in order to ensure file accuracy for program data monitoring. Interns have the opportunity to assist staff in facilitating the Cultural Orientation.
