Tasks/Assignments for intern: strategies for effective treatment of clients and implements &/or direct the application of treatment plans.
• Provide outreach to the campus community (i.e., psychoeducational outreach, assistance with support groups).
• Prepare and manage client records, progress notes, and other necessary documentation in accordance with regulations governing this discipline.
• Maintain strict confidentiality of all proprietary information and ensure ethical standards are upheld in the execution of clinical services in compliance with American Counseling Association standards, university policies, local, state, and federal rules and regulations.
• With time and training, carry out clinical responsibilities including triage screening, mental health assessment, short-term therapy, periodic support groups, and crisis assessment/intervention.
• Collaborate with other university staff in the spirit of teamwork and collegiality to plan and implement various outreach events.
• Advertise services offered.
• Educate students/faculty/staff about mental health issues.
