Tasks/Assignments for intern: The student will help lead and guide racial healing conversations (black&boundaried), bi weekly conversations around race and racial trauma (What's on the table), develop and assess program around black student empowerment, help develop podcast and newsletter content around mental health and community resources, help assist center in program support, and assisting/supporting with black student organizations.
Ideal student description: An ideal candidate for the African American Cultural Center placement office would be a person of color interested in catering the work of social work to black folx! This person would need to be comfortable with public speaking, leading DEI discussions, following up with students, and program development/assessment.
