Tasks/Assignments for intern: Develop applicable workshops/trainings for staff/youth (e.g., mental health & wellness, cultural competencies in social services work, family systems, child development, resiliency, etc); family success and goal setting support; case management practices and staff support; student enrichment work (e.g., STEAM, youth leadership council); intervention consultation and support; community resources networking; line of work related to county-wide planning and implementation of early childhood action plan (ECAP); network with current and future pipeline partners, strengthen multi-service approaches to case management. Also other opportunities for policy work, program development, evaluation, non profit fund development/communications.
Ideal student description: Curious, self-directed, eager to learn; confident in being SME; desire to share ideas and experiences; fun and engaging; can balance team/independent work; approachable so can be support to direct service staff and children/families; bonus if English/Spanish bilingual but not required.
