Other Fields of Practice: For BSW students, we can provide experience related to working in a clinical environment, although not being able to provide any clinical services. Activities can include advocacy, outreach, coordination of educational events, etc -- all related to mental health.

Other Functions:
Tasks/Assignments for intern: MSW students would receive training on direct practice skills and an orientation that would prepare for them to do clinical assessments, treatment planning, mental health counseling (individual, family and some couples therapy), coordination of referrals and discharge planning.
Ideal student description: Students that thrive in this environment are motivated, mature individuals who are interested in learning and are flexible in working with staff and supervisors.
