Tasks/Assignments for intern: Jails & Prisons intern will assist in monitoring facilities and advocating for reforms. Intake intern will provide information, referral and brief service to individuals with disabilities who contact DRNC for help. Community Integration & Autonomy intern will engage in various activities aimed at assisting people with disabilities to live independently in their communities.
Ideal student description: Passion for social justice, team player and self starter, some connection to or interest in disabilities, eager to create systemic change for marginalized people.
