Tasks/Assignments for intern: This intern will serve alongside the Coordinated Entry System Manager (who will also serve as Field Supervisor), supporting the ongoing evaluation of Raleigh/Wake County's Homeless Services System. Coordinated Entry is a full system redesign mandated by the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) and the Raleigh/Wake Partnership serves as the Lead Agency for our region. The Partnership is the primary convening entity for all agencies doing direct service in the field of housing and homelessness. The MSW intern will provide critical capacity to support data management, research, and reporting, and overall system evaluation. Additionally, this intern will be trained in the use of HMIS, a data system used nationwide to effectively capture and utilize data to end and prevent homelessness. This is a macro, system-level, community-focused field placement.
Ideal student description: The ideal student will have a passion for ending homelessness in Wake County, a love of reading and synthesizing research for community-wide use, a strong aptitude for data communication, can innovate and work independently as needed, and a positive, helpful mindset to bring to our team.
