Tasks/Assignments for intern: Interns would be engaged in a variety of tasks such as assessment with member organizations to determine training needs/program direction, administrative and logistical planning tasks for training events, opportunities to attend NCCADV trainings, research on best practice and most up to date statistical information (for use in training development), collect and analyze training evaluation data, create evaluation reports, take calls from member agencies and occasional survivor crisis/resource referral calls
Ideal student description: The ideal student for this position is passionate about and has a solid base level knowledge of anti-oppression and domestic violence. Students should also be open to learning new information, perspectives, and skills regarding domestic violence, trauma-informed approaches, and intersectional anti-oppression work. The ideal student would be a relatively independent worker who feels comfortable seeking support/additional supervision when needed beyond the typically scheduled supervision hours. This student would be primarily interested in macro social work practice.
